Gang Sheet vs. Individual DTF Transfers: Which Should You Order?
Both options use the same DTF printing process - the difference is how your designs are laid out and priced.
What's the difference?
An individual transfer is a single design pressed and priced by its own size (for example, one 11"x14" transfer). A gang sheet is one large sheet (commonly 22"x wide, various lengths) with multiple designs - the same design repeated, different designs, or different sizes of the same design - all arranged together and priced by the sheet.
| Gang Sheet | Individual Transfer by Size | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Multiple designs or repeat orders, maximizing material use | A single design, a single garment, or a quick one-off order |
| Cost efficiency | Lower cost per design when the sheet is filled efficiently | Simple, predictable price for one specific size |
| Ordering process | Use our Gang Sheet Builder to arrange designs yourself, or the Gang Sheet Uploader if your layout is already prepared | Order directly by choosing your size on the DTF Transfer by Size product |
| Good for reordering | Layouts are saved to your account for easy reordering | Straightforward to reorder the same single size |
Which should you choose?
If you're decorating multiple garments, running a small apparel business, or want several designs/sizes in one order, a gang sheet gets you the most value per square inch. If you just need one design pressed once, ordering an individual transfer by size is simpler and just as fast.
