Artwork & File Requirements for DTF Printing
Getting your artwork right up front means a faster, smoother order. Here's what we look for.
Accepted file formats
We accept PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, EPS, and PSD files. PNG files with a transparent background work best for most designs. Vector files (AI, EPS) are ideal for logos and text-based designs, since they stay perfectly sharp at any size.
Resolution
For raster files (PNG/JPG/PSD), we recommend 300 DPI at your actual print size. A design that looks sharp on screen at a small size can appear pixelated once it's printed large - always check resolution against the final print dimensions, not just the file's pixel count.
Color
DTF printing uses the CMYK color model plus a white ink underbase, so colors can shift slightly from what you see on an RGB screen. If exact color matching matters (brand colors, team colors), let us know and we'll flag anything that needs adjusting before printing.
Do I need to mirror my design?
No - upload your design exactly as you want it to appear on the finished garment (right-reading). We handle mirroring and file preparation on our end.
Background & transparency
For designs that aren't a full rectangle (like a logo, a shaped graphic, or lettering), a transparent background (PNG) ensures only your design prints - not a white or colored box around it.
